Anushka reaction on Virat Century: Talented Indian star batsman Virat Kohli has reached his 45th ODI century and 73rd century overall in international cricket. The batsman reached this milestone while playing for India against Sri Lanka in the opening ODI at the Bursapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Virat Kohli, who scored his 20th century on home soil, now holds the world record for most centuries in his home country, previously held by legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Virat was the top scorer in the Indian innings with the team batting after Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. Rohit Sharma started the year with a 67-ball 83 with a total of nine fours and three sixes. Opening batsman Shubman Gill scored 70 runs off 60 balls, KL Rahul scored 39 runs off 29 balls, and Shreyas Iyer scored 28 runs off 24 balls. Rajitha finished with figures of 3/88 from ten overs. Chamika Karunaratne, Dasun Shanaka, Madhushanka and Dhananjay de Silva took one wicket each. The second ODI will be played at the Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata on January 12, while the second ODI will be played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
