Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana Trump died at the age of 73, the family announced Thursday. She died at her home in New York City, the former president said in a Truth Social post. The Trump family called her an “incredible woman.” in one statement.

Her children said to report “Our mother was an incredible woman, a world-class athlete, a force in business, a radiant beauty, and a caring mother and loving friend. She was a survivor, She left communism and approached this country. She taught her children about compassion and determination, hardness and toughness.” She will be deeply missed by her three children, her mother, and ten grandchildren.

 

Ivana spent her childhood in the former Czechoslovakia which was under communist rule and left in the 1970s. She married her second husband Trump in 1977. Ivana and Trump had three children together and later they divorced in 1992 after 15 years of marriage.

 

The Czech-born businessman and former model have held several roles in Trump family businesses, including serving as the former vice president of interior design for the Trump Organization. Her construction and design work spans Trump Tower, the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, and the Grand Hyatt Hotel. And he managed Trump’s prized Plaza Hotel property.

 

Ivana’s husband Donald trump said to the report “She was a beautiful, wonderful, and wonderful woman who lived a great and inspiring life,” and also said “Her always pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka. She is proud as we all are of her. Rest in peace, Ivana!”

 

She took her business skills beyond the Trump family firm, developing her own fashion and beauty lines. He invested in real estate in the US and Europe and wrote many books.
