Kyrie Irving Reportedly at ‘Impasse’ Over Future With the Nets

Kyrie Irving: According to a report by The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Kyrie Irving is reportedly “in crisis” over his future with the Brooklyn Nets.

Sources tell The Athletic that conversations about Irving’s future have stagnated between him and the Nets, ”Charania reports.

“The current crisis exists between parties clearing the way for the seven-time All-Star to consider the free market,” the source said.

Irving played just 29 games for the Nets last season and then refused to be vaccinated against New York City’s orders. The Nets were then swept by the Boston Celtics.

The Los Angeles Lakers are facing a big question for the busiest division of their offseason as they watch the Golden State Warriors celebrate their newly earned NBA Championship.

“Is there a way for it to become us next summer?”

With limited draft assets, a roster full of no-pay cap space and vacancies, some major moves are needed to get back to the playoffs.

Early Monday morning, athletic Brooklyn guard Kyrie Irving and the Nets were reportedly in “crisis” in contract talks, with Irving opening the door to find a new team.

Of those suitors, a reunion with the Lakers and LeBron James might make more sense.
